Solution Architect, Business Central

Department & Team:
The Store & Internal Business Systems team in Global IT is responsible for developing and maintaining the ERP and sales order services at Milestone, including our BC and the ordering portal (Milestone Store). We continuously optimize and adapt processes to provide timely and high-quality registrations, controls, and data for analysis.

Position Overview:
As a Solution Architect for Business Central at Milestone, you will play a crucial role in architecting and developing solutions within Dynamics 365 Business Central (BC). Working closely with our team, you will be responsible for refining requirements, designing functional solutions, coordinating technical aspects with other teams, developing custom code, maintaining solutions, and preparing for upgrades. Your focus will be on leveraging standard configurable functionality while ensuring customizations align with Milestone’s unique requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Participate in refining new requirements and detailed solution architectures.
• Collaborate with the team to design functional solutions.
• Coordinate on the technical level with other teams to manage dependencies.
• Work with external partners on refinement and development.
• Develop custom C/AL code to implement business requirements.
• Maintain and support custom developed solutions and integrations.
• Prepare BC14 for upgrade to the latest version.
• Assist in testing BC changes and creating documentation.
• Drive release deployment planning and execution.

Preferred Skills:

• 10-15 years of experience with configuration, development, and solution design within NAV and Business Central.
• Professional experience with designing and describing solutions in BC in a complex environment with multiple applications and complex business rules.
• Proficient in AL, C/AL, and C/SIDE coding.
• Knowledge of and experience with agile frameworks like Scrum.
• Ability to create technical specifications and documentation.
• Experience in performing technical tests, creating and maintaining automated and manual tests.
• Proficiency in creating and maintaining deployment and release scripting.
