To support our growth ambitions, we are expanding our Procurement Organization and are looking for a Procurement Specialist to lead our Indirect Spend and Procurement Excellence - the role covers two distinct focus areas. You will join a global Procurement team of 11 highly engaged and collaborative colleagues.

THE JOB

You will be part of the Procurement Department and report directly to Head of Procurement. This position combines two key areas of responsibility: Procurement Excellence and Indirect Procurement. You will both drive the development and optimization of procurement processes and manage indirect spend to support the organization’s operational and strategic goals. The role supports a technical, high-mix/low-volume Operation and development environment, requiring flexibility and strong cross-functional collaboration. Depending on business priorities, your workload will shift between process improvement initiatives and hands-on indirect tasks. You will work closely with most of our internal functions to ensure alignment and deliver value.

The role includes leading NKT Photonics’ high value indirect sourcing activities and being the ambassador for an indirect strategy to all lines of business. You will design and deliver training materials, guidelines and tools that strengthen procurement capabilities. You will support digitalization efforts, improve data quality and enhance standardized use of our ERP system and procurement systems. Monitoring KPIs, supporting audits and ensuring compliance with procurement policies are integral to the position. Ultimately, you act as a key driver of efficiency, governance and continuous improvement while balancing strategic and operational responsibilities according to the needs of the business.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

· Procurement processes that enable efficient operation in a technical high-mix/low-volume environment.

· Lead process optimization and digitalization initiatives across purchasing, sourcing and ERP systems to increase efficiency, transparency and data quality.

· Strengthen cross-functional collaboration and act as a change agent to promote standardized ways of working, best practices and a continuous improvement mindset.

· Support compliance, audits and governance activities, ensuring procurement processes meet internal and external standards such as NIS2, ISO 9001, 13485 and 14001.

· Develop, maintain and execute procurement procedures and strategy for indirect spend.

· Lead sourcing activities for key indirect and high-spend projects/tasks.

· Build strong stakeholder relationships and drive value creation through cost-saving initiatives, spend optimization and alignment with business requirements.

· Support supplier management according to KPIs, business reviews, risk mitigation, sustainability requirements and continuous improvement activities.

· Ensure governance and data accuracy by supporting procurement policies, audits, digital procurement tools, ERP updates and contract management systems.

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum bachelor’s degree or similar within Supply Chain / Logistics. As minimum 4 years’ experience working within Procurement.

Experience with Dynamics 365 and Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Power BI and Power Point. Working in a high mix/low volume technical production company.

Excellent business English and Danish are required.

You bring a positive attitude, collaborate well with others, follow processes and KPIs as well as being customer-oriented. You have analytical skills, being able to analyze requests within the big picture to determine the best course. Understands supply chain functions and logistic processes. Some technical understanding is preferred.

TRAVEL EXPECTATIONS

Up to max 10% annually, potentially globally.
