Job description
Are you a sports guru with a flare for commercialization? We are on the lookout for a South and NorthEast Europe Sales Lead to support the ever-developing Media Sales division within Better Collective.

Focusing on all our assets across the region (Primary GR, PL Secondary IT, RO and others) you will be tasked with developing and owning the commercial strategy and sales for our non affiliate activity across all areas of Media Sales in cooperation with the Director of Media Sales. Inventory items cover Display, Programmatic, Audio, Video, Content and Tech executions. The ideal candidate will have strong existing contacts within the media world across multiple verticals beyond Igaming and be ready to step up to a new big challenge.

The successful candidate will be responsible for not only the execution of marketing campaigns - with involvement in ideation, production, and delivery - but also the sales process, working closely with our external partners to understand and support their strategic objectives and KPI’s.

The role
Combining a blend of creative ideation and commercialisation you will be charged with developing out commercial concepts (through close collaboration with internal stakeholders) and then taking to market penetrating the local customer base, owning and building key relationships. We are keen to serve any brand looking to reach an engaged sports audience through ALL types of digital media content executions, from video through to audio and editorial solutions.

Your challenge
The key objective is to grow our sponsorship/media revenue. This will be achieved through:

  • Proactive collaboration with internal stakeholders to ideate new content formats - scaling our media inventory and maximizing revenue opportunities.
  • Working across all aspects of our sponsorship portfolio, from bespoke creative solutions to sponsored editorial and video content.
  • Working closely with external partners to understand their marketing objectives & designing creative concepts to best support their needs.
  • Developing and forging key go to market strategies for all regions covered.
  • Developing and maintaining a pipeline of new partners and revenue opportunities.
  • Developing key strategic relationships with media agencies and direct brands.
  • Reporting monthly on booked revenue and pipeline progress.
  • Forecasting and p&l management.
  • Growth and development of reporting team members.
  • Supporting regional and local business owners with country strategy and growth exploration.

Job requirements
Job requirements - our ideal candidate

  • Strong background in the commercialisation of publisher sites.
  • Proven revenue delivery track record.
  • Knowledge of 1 or more local languages of the region as well as English.
  • Sports and content enthusiast with knowledge of sports fan audience.
  • iGaming experience not required, but desirable.
  • Experience across social media, video, audio and editorial sales.
  • Existing network of relevant contacts / prospective customers.
  • Confident, passionate and persuasive communication skills.
  • Excellent presentation and proposal writing and delivery skills.
  • Experience with building and executing media plan documents.
  • Strong analytical mind and understanding of numbers.
  • Stakeholder management experience.
  • Thrives off a fast pace environment and constantly looking for ways to build.
  • Self motivated team player with a can-do attitude.
