Job Description - Technical Method Engineer - Marine Fleet Department

The Technical Method Engineer will be responsible for engineering and preparation of Standard Operating Procedures.

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor in offshore engineering, method development and continuous improvements, familiar with NPI and the implementation of technical processes.

Who is FLC?

Femern Link Contractors, FLC, is the joint venture responsible for the design and construction of the immersed tunnel, tunnel portals and ramps. Our joint venture consists of nine international construction companies with individual experience in large infrastructure projects. Together, we are committed to working together to deliver a state-of-the-art immersed tunnel, portals and ramps, delivered on time and safely, in a sustainable and ethical manner.

Main responsibilities(but not limited to):

  • Prepare the Method Statement, Site Layout, sequence drawings and logistic plans
  • Give input for the 3 months look-ahead program
  • Follow up on technical works in time and propose improvements or mitigations when required
  • Plan the supply of material with the procurement department and the mobilisation and demobilisation of resources
  • When necessary, FLC representative for subcontractor management
  • Control the daily reports prepared by the FLC Supervisors and the subcontractors
  • Collaborate with other departments and support Operations team.

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Bachelor in offshore engineering and method development
  • minimum 5 years of experience in Marine or Heavy industry works,
  • Able to manage multiple projects/tasks of different types and at different stages of technical maturity in parallel.
  • Ease of communicating, synthesizing, collaborating with others without hierarchical links and working in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Field person, flexible (also for possible visits to the suppliers involved), open-minded, authorized on collaboration and anticipation and respect of commitments.
  • Good command of English, written and spoken, Danish or German is advantageous.
  • Problem solver, resilient, good communication skills and taking initiative.
