Job Description - Technology manager Control Systems Specialist

Job Description

Ready to build the control systems behind every brick-building moment? This Technology Manager – Control Systems Specialist role builds automation standards and production solutions within Manufacturing Design & Implementation in Billund, Denmark.

No relocation support is offered.

Manufacturing Design & Implementation sets the production and inbound logistics platforms that help moulding sites run safely, consistently and with care. Together with project managers, platform engineers and technical colleagues, the team is developing control system governance for material handling as sustainable materials reshape production. Your ideas can become the next brick in better manufacturing!

Core Responsibilities

  • Build control system architecture for production platforms, spanning high-level automation, PLC engineering and OT environments.
  • Set supplier requirements for OT/IT compliance, cybersecurity updates, specifications and technical documentation.
  • Partner with project managers on FAT, SAT, retrofits and functional solution decisions.
  • Support global operations with problem solving across machines, equipment, automation and logistics processes.
  • Develop improvements with system suppliers, technicians, software developers and PLC engineers across manufacturing sites.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Degree in systems engineering, or learning gained through comparable technical work.
  • Experience in automation or systems engineering, including PLC engineering and controls.
  • Comfortable designing, analysing and managing complex systems across production settings.
  • Practice delivering technical projects while 24/7 production continues safely nearby.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with SCADA, web-based solutions, Scrum or agile development methods.
  • Interest in network architecture and cybersecurity concepts within operational technology.

Additional details on this position

This Billund-based position follows the local hybrid model, with offices as the primary workplace and flexibility agreed with your People Leader. Please apply with an English CV; expected travel is around 0–30 days per year, and relocation support is not offered.
