Job Description - Visual Merchandiser, EMEA Markets

Bang & Olufsen is seeking an experienced Visual Merchandiser to join our Global VM team. This key position will promote visual merchandising and store planning initiatives throughout our EMEA retail partner stores.

You will implement visual merchandising strategies, enhance the customer experience, and provide market support to promote sales and increase brand awareness. Your focus will be on window campaigns, in-store VM executions, and market governance across a network of 200+ stores in the EMEA markets.

Key responsibilities

  • Implement Strategies: Implement visual merchandising strategies and seasonal VM guidelines aligned with marketing and sales goals.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with regional marketing and sales teams to ensure visual merchandising supports promotional and seasonal campaigns.
  • Engage with Stores: Collaborate with area managers, store owners, and store managers to ensure proper execution of visual merchandising guidelines.
  • VM App Management: Support the VM app, as the primary communication tool between stores and the head office.
  • Feedback and Reporting: Provide feedback to stores on window and in-store executions, and monitor brand VM compliance reports for EMEA markets.
  • Store Visits: Conduct regular store visits to assess and improve visual merchandising standards.
  • Training and Coaching: Train and coach store teams on visual merchandising techniques and standards to ensure consistent brand presentation.
  • New Store Openings: Provide visual merchandising solutions for new store openings in collaboration with the Store Design team.
  • Stakeholder Relationships: Develop and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders to ensure effective execution of visual merchandising initiatives.
  • Sales Monitoring: Monitor and evaluate sales data to assess the effectiveness of visual merchandising initiatives and make recommendations for future improvements.
  • Presentations: Present VM guidelines to key stakeholders in the markets.
  • Market Feedback: Provide market feedback to the Global VM team.

What you bring
We’re seeking someone enthusiastic about visual merchandising with a documented history of implementing strategies that promote sales. The ideal candidate will balance brand and market needs and thrive in a collaborative environment.

Moreover, you bring:

  • Experience: Approx. 5 years in visual merchandising, focusing on VM execution and market support. Experience managing a cluster of stores, countries, or markets is advantageous.
  • Skills: Comprehensive communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally. Effective problem-solving abilities.
  • Retail Insight: General retail understanding and hands-on experience in the field.
  • Adaptability: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Positive intercultural and interpersonal skills.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel approximately 20-30 days a year.
  • Portfolio: Ability to showcase a portfolio of previous work/projects.
  • Language: Fluency in English is mandatory.
