Product Manager for MAN PrimeServ Digital

Based on engine data, we are developing and delivering digital solutions that support the reduction of emissions in the marine industry.

To manage our digital portfolio, we are on the lookout for a commercial oriented Product Manager who can manage the increasing complexity of our product mix making sure that we are delivering and promoting the solutions that our customers need - at a competitive and profitable price.

What are you going to do? You will be responsible for the 2-stroke digital portfolio, making sure that it’s maintained and commercially ready to meet market needs and supports our overall strategy to reduce emissions within the marine industry. We expect you to:

• Define and implement go-to-market strategies (e.g. segments, product mix, price, Value propositions, USPs)
• Conduct technical presentations internally and externally
• Act as a technical liaison between sales, product development and our customers
• Develop and implement internal and external (re)launch plans in collaboration with product owners, sales, and marketing
• Drive forecasting and demand planning

Who are you? We imagine that you:

• Have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in business or as a Mechanical, Marine or Electrical Engineer with minimum 10 years’ experience in driving growth
• Have experience working with engine/vessel data and preferably understand the fundamentals of agile development
• Have an understanding of the potential and customer value of Cloud (CEON) based solutions
• Have a commercial mindset and understand the marine industry from a commercial perspective
• Have a holistic and considered approach to problem-solving
• Would enjoy having a very broad range of internal and external stakeholders
• Enjoy working in a smaller team with a big global reach
• Are fluent in English in written and verbally

How is your new team/area of business? We are currently a small team that covers product launch & training, customer experience management, sales and customer onboarding. Our team has the overall responsibility to drive global digital 2-stroke sales and to make sure that new customers are on-boarded to our digital services as efficiently and service-minded as possible. We are part of a larger and diverse digital MAN PrimeServ department, which is also responsible for business, concept and feature development, 3rd party partnerships, and digital service delivery.
