Chief Accountant

SampleMaster is on a path of strategic expansion and is actively seeking an adept Chief Accountant to lead financial operations at our Lithuania office. This pivotal role focuses on maintaining the highest standards of financial integrity, streamlining financial processes, and driving strategic financial planning to support SampleMaster’s growth ambitions. Renowned for creating value and high-quality customized sample and decision tools, SampleMaster® proudly serves global premium brands, including Steelcase, Bang & Olufsen, BoConcept, MillerKnoll, Bolia and many more.

As the Chief Accountant, you will:

• Oversee Financial Operations: Ensure accurate processing of financial documents and maintain compliant accounting records.
• Policy and Compliance Management: Develop and enforce robust accounting policies; ensure all financial activities adhere to legal standards.
• Financial Reporting and Analysis: Deliver timely financial statements to stakeholders; conduct analyses to support strategic decisions.
• Tax and Payroll Oversight: Manage comprehensive tax strategies and payroll systems to ensure timely compliance and accuracy.
• Banking and Cash Management: Handle daily banking transactions and optimize cash flow management.
• Collaborative Leadership: Work closely with the Site Manager and Group HR to enhance HR administrative processes.
• Strategic Communication: Provide regular financial updates and strategic insights at management and board meetings.

We are looking for:

• Proven Experience: Strong background in financial management with a deep understanding of Lithuanian accounting and tax laws.
• A Strategic Thinker: Exceptional at developing financial strategies and analysing economic conditions to guide leadership.
• Technical Proficiency: Skilled in ERP systems, preferably M3, with high competency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel .
• A Strong Communicator: Fluent in Lithuanian and English, capable of effective communication with stakeholders at all level s.
• Leadership Qualities: Demonstrates integrity, professionalism, and the ability to manage complex financial operations without constant supervision. The position requires managing an assistant accountant and participating in the company's leadership group.
