Job Description - Marketing & Community Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

CinderCat Games is a growing video game startup founded in 2022. We’re developing our first IP and video game, Glum: A Wicked Misadventure, which is to launch on PC in 2025. As Marketing & Community Manager at CinderCat Games, you’ll be creating fun and engaging marketing content for our social media platforms, running both paid and unpaid campaigns and managing our Discord community with the aim of growing our audience and potential player base. As Glum is heavily focused on dark humor, we’re looking for someone with an equally wicked sense of humor to join our team and turn game content into relevant memes, viral trends and generally think outside the box. So if you’re looking for a position where you can unleash your creativity and inner menace, you’ve found it. Our ideal candidate has prior experience with marketing games, an understanding of the emerging social media platforms and their tone and content, but most importantly a great and preferably dark sense of humor. The role is based in our Aalborg Office. Must be proficient in English.

PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS

  • A high level of humor and ability to turn game clips into trending memes and trending content.
  • Experience working on video game marketing and community management.
  • Strong organization, time management and prioritization skills.
  • A proactive mindset and work ethic.
  • Experience working with video-tools such as Premiere Pro, After Effects or similar software.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Driving the general tone of marketing for Glum: A Wicked Misadventure.
  • Planning, creating and executing on timely and achievable marketing plans in collaboration with the team.
  • Creating and running bigger marketing beats: from influencer marketing to community events and anything in between.
  • Continuously reporting on learnings and data to use as knowledge for improving marketing material and overall marketing strategy.
  • Collaborating with the team to communicate specific asset needs to create the best and most exciting marketing material possible.
  • Understanding, staying up to date and using the latest trends within gaming and mainstream media to create engaging and relevant content.
