Game Design Intern

SYBO is part of the Miniclip family and is known for the widely popular game, Subway Surfers - the most downloaded mobile game in the world, with over four billion downloads. Located in the heart of Copenhagen, we aim to create playful moments that inspire our fans to care.

We’re seeking a skilled intern to join a team working on an exciting new game. Here, you’ll create the most engaging and exciting game content for our new title, and act as a creative nexus for the members of your pod.

This internship is unpaid and full-time running for the fall semester in 2025.

Your time at SYBO

In your ramp-up month, you’ll meet the team and familiarise yourself with the game. You’ll get to know your tools, create your first bits of content, and get the team playing your stuff!

In your contributor months, you’ll be familiar with our process and methodology. You’ll contribute to what we focus on and how, and get content into our build.

Responsibilities

• Create content for the game (level design, character design, skill design, etc)




• Run playtests with the team, gather feedback, and iterate.

Requirements

• You are proficient in the content creation process, such as level design, character design or skills design, with the capacity to iterate and collaborate.




• You have an understanding of the Unity game engine




• You are comfortable operating in an agile environment with cross-functional teams & a high degree of empowerment

It is a requirement to be enrolled in a university program that supports a full-time internship as part of the education - and you need to be able to commute to our Copenhagen office daily.

We do not offer relocation, VISA, or house search assistance for internships.

Bonus points

• Design experience in character design, gameplay design, and/or action genre




• Ability to prototype simple ideas using C#
