Finance Student Assistant – Project Controlling & Tool Development

Are you looking for a student job where you get real responsibility, work closely with project stakeholders, and develop your Excel and automation skills? Ferrosan Medical Devices A/S is looking for a motivated Student Assistant to join our Finance & Controlling team in Denmark for 15–20 hours per week.

You will become part of a Finance & Controlling team of seven colleagues and support our project organization with controlling, reporting, and development and maintenance of essential planning tools. The team has an informal set-up, and you will have ownership of your tasks and a high degree of independence in day-to-day work.

Your responsibilities

• Resource planning tool ownership: Maintain and continuously improve our resource planning tool and ensure high data quality


• User support & communication: Send reminders, guide users, and provide hands-on Excel support to colleagues using the tool


• Stakeholder collaboration: Act as a first point of contact for Project Managers, managers, directors, and other stakeholders


• Project controlling: Support cost controlling and reporting activities related to our projects


• Development & automation: Contribute to new functionalities and explore AI/automation opportunities to streamline processes

Who we are looking for

We imagine you are currently studying Finance, Economics, Business Administration or a related field and you enjoy working with structured tasks, data, and stakeholders. You are service-minded, proactive, and motivated by making tools and processes work better for others.

• Organized with a clear, methodical approach and a strong sense of responsibility


• Service-minded and proactive in supporting others


• Strong Excel skills (e.g., PivotTables, lookup formulas) and motivation to become an “Excel wizard”


• Interest in automation and AI tools (experience is a plus, curiosity is a must)


• Power Query and/or Power BI knowledge is an advantage (not required if you are willing to learn)


• SAP knowledge is an advantage (not required)


• Fluent in Danish and English, both written and spoken
