This is an exciting opportunity to lead the strategy and growth of a high-impact sports content vertical, focused on delivering exceptional experiences to passionate fans. You will define both product and content direction, driving audience expansion, engagement, and revenue performance. The role blends business ownership with creative execution, giving you full P&L responsibility and the chance to shape a fast-growing digital media segment. Working cross-functionally with tech, SEO, editorial, and external partners, you will build scalable systems and high-performing teams. Accountabilities:
- Defining and executing the product and content strategy to grow audience reach, engagement, and monetization.
- Leading end-to-end vertical setup, collaborating with technology, SEO, editorial, and external data providers to build scalable offerings.
- Benchmarking product features and content coverage against competitors, identifying actionable improvements to strengthen authority and user experience.
- Owning P&L responsibilities, driving revenue growth while managing costs and performance metrics.
- Hiring, mentoring, and managing a global team of writers and editors to deliver high-quality, timely content.
- Designing and implementing structured content plans aligned with audience trends and business objectives.
- 4+ years of experience managing or scaling content verticals within large publishing or digital media organizations.
- Strong understanding of SEO, including on-page, off-page, and technical optimization strategies.
- Proven ability to analyze performance data, identify growth opportunities, and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Experience owning or contributing to P&L management and revenue growth initiatives.
- Demonstrated leadership skills, including hiring and managing distributed content teams.
- Growth-oriented mindset with strong business judgment and analytical skills.
- Passion for sports, particularly the NFL, with a deep understanding of fan behavior and content trends.
