Job Description - Interim Head of Global HR

Excited about supporting people and growing business within a unique people-first organization? With our existing Head of Global HR taking a 1-year study leave, we are seeking an experienced Interim Head of Global HR to join the team for a one-year contract.

In this role, you will provide leadership in three key areas: leading the global HR team, serving as an HR business partner for global functions based in HQ, and translating global principles and processes into actionable plans for local HR teams worldwide. This role combines direction setting, proactive, practical HR planning, global capability development, and hands-on operational leadership.

You will be part of Reaktor’s HR network, working closely with the global HR team, Head of Talent Acquisition, Head of Talent Development, Head of Performance & Reward and Head of DEI. You will be reporting to the Chief People Officer.

Reaktor is known for its unique people-centered leadership. Most of the employees work in autonomous expert teams without traditional supervisors. HR teams support employees’ well-being with a low threshold, and all our HR professionals pride themselves on being easy to approach and work hard to help and coach people in different situations.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Leading the Global HR Team :

    • Provide direction, guidance and operational support to a team of seven (7) HR professionals located across different regions.

    • Support team members in setting clear objectives aligned with organizational goals in sync with the local objectives.

    • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development to enhance team capabilities.

  • HR Business Partner for Global Functions at HQ :

    • Collaborate closely with leaders of global functions based in headquarters to understand their HR needs and challenges.

    • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives that support the achievement of function objectives.

    • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership, providing insights, recommendations, and hands-on support on HR-related matters.

  • Translate Global Strategy into Local Action :

    • Work closely with local HR teams in various regions to ensure alignment with global HR strategies and initiatives.

    • Provide guidance and support to local HR teams in adapting global strategies to meet the unique needs of their respective regions.

    • Facilitate communication and collaboration between global and local HR teams to ensure seamless execution of HR initiatives worldwide.

To thrive in this position, you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in HR leadership roles, with a strong understanding of global HR practices and processes.

  • Proven track record of successfully leading and developing high-performing HR teams.

  • Experience partnering with leadership and providing strategic and pragmatic HR support.

  • Authentic and modern leadership skills

  • Genuine interest in people, coupled with empathy and attentive listening.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Flexibility to travel occasionally as needed.
