Job Description - People Operations Specialist

The People Operations Specialist participates in Sympa’s growth by supporting Sympaticans in all group functions and locations in a constantly changing global environment.

As a People Operations Specialist at Sympa you will have an opportunity to:

  • Join a dedicated team of People & Culture professionals who share your passion
  • Provide high-quality day-to-day people operations support and advice for Sympaticans in all 4 countries to ensure employee satisfaction.
  • Innovate, develop and implement Sympa´s People operations. Constantly track and communicate the processes, compliance and confidentiality, and drive actions in the organization within people operations.
  • Ensure compliance in our policies, guidelines and processes, taxable benefits, local legal requirements, work union guidelines
  • Create contracts/agreements and templates
  • Ensure compliance in relevant employee data in Sympa´s master data systems ( Admin user in Sympa HR-system, ERP-system Planmill, payroll, cost centers )
  • ManagePayroll and Annual Salary Review related processes and development projects and work together with our payroll consultants and other external stakeholders in all of our locations internationally.
  • Apply deep knowledge of the job area and various specific operational practices.
  • Have autonomy in your role, with room to grow as responsibilities evolve

The person we are looking for is strongly motivated, result-driven andeager to learn. A desire to take on new challenges in an environment that is experiencing rapid growth and change will take you far.

We're looking for candidates who possess:

  • Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where decisions are taken quickly, and the organization is in a constant state of development.
  • Deep knowledge of HR and People processes in an international growth company. Several years of experience in people operations, especially in payroll, employments, labour law and collective agreement requirements incl. contracting, and people processes in an international setting.
  • Experience in reporting as well as setting up, following, and acting upon people/HR related metrics.
  • Persistence and enthusiasm for both routine tasks and process development, with hands-on mindset.
  • Ability to have attention to detail and at the same time see the big picture. Problem-solving skills at both scales.
  • Curiosity to learn, ability to take initiative and constantly looking for best ways to implement the People strategy and people operations.
  • Ability to lead independently own work within own responsibility areas and timelines.
  • Great people skills with a high level of assertiveness with people of all backgrounds.
  • Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or in another related field.
  • Excellent communication skills in Finnish and English. Other languages, especially other Nordic languages are considered a plus.
  • Experience with Sympa’s own HR software is a plus.
