Are you a proactive and results-driven individual with exceptional sales and leadership skills? We are currently seeking a Sales Manager to the market-leading surface treatment company Oerlikon Balzers Coating Finland Oy.

About the position

As the Sales Manager for Finland, your role is multifaceted. You'll spearhead sales efforts in Oerlikon's service components division, with a focus on promoting Milubia coatings. Additionally, you'll lead a team of six sales representatives covering Finnish and Swedish territories.

Your responsibilities include devising strategic sales plans, nurturing your team's performance, and fostering collaboration with the engineering department to tailor solutions to customer needs. You'll also represent Oerlikon at industry events and trade fairs, driving business growth and strengthening customer relationships.

Example of responsibilities

  • Develop and manage budgets and forecasts for business with existing customers.
  • Proactively identify and initiate new business activities to expand market share.
  • Lead and mentor the Finnish and Swedish sales team to achieve sales targets and objectives.
  • Conduct analysis of existing and new markets, as well as market trends, to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and discuss conceptual solutions tailored to customer needs.
  • Evaluate tests and sample results in conjunction with the Engineering team to ensure product performance and customer satisfaction.

The position is based at Oerlikon's service center in Espoo, Finland. However, occasional travel to customers, trade fairs, and Oerlikon offices throughout northern Europe is an integral part of the role.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, or related field.
  • Proven track record of successful sales management experience, preferably in the industrial sector.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide a sales team towards achieving targets.
  • Analytical mindset with the capability to interpret market data and trends to drive business growth.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Proficiency in Finnish and English languages, both written and spoken.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
