Job Description - Team Manager

During 2024 OCC & CCX all disruption handling roles have been renewed to meet the high expectations of our customers in disruptions. Jointly we renamed this area end-to-end disruption management which is divided into to four main areas: Solution management, Support & Aftercare management, end-to-end development and legislation teams. Solution management team is divided to OCC and CCX roles with very clear matrix reporting responsibilities.

Solution Management Team (former Service Recovery) is part of Finnair’s Operations Control Center (OCC) line organization. Solution Management OCC teams are divided into three main functions: Customer Solutions, System Solutions and Baggage Solutions. These teams are working closely with Solution management CCX roles, Customer journey leads and long team solutions team.

We are now looking for a person with a strong people leading mindset to join our team as

TEAM MANAGER

to join Solution Management as Team Manager for System Solution (formerly known as OSC) and Baggage Solution (formerly known as Baggage Recovery) teams in the new Solution Management OCC organization.

Leading the team of subordinates and responsible of teams’ performance with strong focus on personnel development, quality and change management. Responsible for HR life cycle management and team resourcing. Participating in matrix to E2E disruption development related to the own area of responsibility and implementing development items jointly with other relevant E2E disruption management roles. Ensuring team performance supports cost effective and customer centric E2E disruption management. Leading the daily delivery of solution management and ensuring situational awareness is upkept and informed by the team to all relevant parties.

You might be the person we are looking for if you are decisive, enjoy serving customers and solving problems. Ability to take responsibility and to prioritize are also useful in this role.

Our expectations towards you:

Good understanding of airline industry and customer service end-to-end processes, tools, and regulations

Strong and self-driven problem-solving skills and high stress tolerance

Ability to lead daily delivery of System & Baggage Solution Management

Excellent verbal and written communication and reporting skills, in both Finnish and English

Minimum three years of people management experience

Knowledge of airport processes, Amadeus and SITA tools are considered as an advantage

Proven ability to manage operations with measurable results

Experience in creating and managing reports with relevant tools (for example PowerBI)

Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent

The collective agreement for this position is FINTO with permanent contract.
