We are looking for an experienced Business Development Engineer specialising in Microclimate simulation to join our fast-growing team, working together for a more sustainable built environment.

We are close to doubling our business each year and you'll be in a pivotal role to make this happen. Join us to help grow a business that plays a key role in delivering a more sustainable built environmentand a zero-carbon future for us all.

You will be responsible for identifying customer needs/opportunities and helping them find solutions that will allow them to succeed with our software. This is a sales role, working with our existing and new customers to grow our position in the market. In this role, you will be working globally with different stakeholders within the construction sector.

This role is available as a full-time, permanent position that can be performed remotely. You need to be able to work in the CET time zone.

What you’ll do:

  • Focus on sourcing and dealing withnew leads & manage sales for new and existing customers Globally.
  • Be part of expanding the offering of microclimate tools for theAEC industry.
  • Educate prospects on the value and opportunities in the field.
  • Motivate prospects to maximise the potential of assigned accounts.
  • Support our Micro-climate software product development where needed.
  • Attend industry events Globally where necessary.

What you need:

  • You will need a deep understanding of climatology and/ormeteorology and preferablyurban climatology.
  • Ideally also modeling background or at least technical proficiency. Experience with Envi-Met software is a plus.
  • Sales experience from technical or environmental fields with an understanding of how urban planning and projects operate.
  • Solid communication skills to convey the benefits of microclimate tools to potential clients including experience in performing product demonstrations.
  • Experience inB2B Sales and Account management with a successful track record of growth.
  • Previous experience withCRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
  • Fast learning skills and desire to improve constantly, using what works.
  • Customer- and results-oriented attitude, a hands-on approach and comfortable communicating with different seniority ofstakeholders.
  • Very good listening skills and ability to see the situation from a client’s perspective.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English as it is our working language.
