Would be our new Data Engineer and join our Data & Digital Channels unit? Position is based on Helsinki, Finland but we work in hybrid work model.

What you will do?

At this role you will work within and  form  a new Consumer Data & Analytics domain team with your teammates. The team will be established in Data & Digital Channels unit and it will serve all business functions inside Posti. The goal of the team is to create a data & analytics foundation  that  serves our business decision makers, operational needs, and our consumer customers. The team will include Data Engineers, Data Scientists and BI Analysts. Together we have an essential role in implementing Posti’s strategy and building a world-class customer experience. 

The team is responsible for building a new data & analytics platform on top of AWS with state-of-the-art tech. This role is a first-class seat to see how a large international delivery and fulfillment company operates and utilizes the data within its operations. We have massive amounts of data for you to crunch. Our ambition is to build a solution that provides data in real time for the use of business decision making, analytics and operations. Some of the solutions we build will likely be visible for 2 million customers.   

Do you recognize yourself?

• Interest towards serving business with sophisticated, maintainable, real time, and scalable data solutions

• E xperience in building and designing robust data pipelines and models with various ELT tools, SQL, and Python.

• You have knowledge about the cloud data platform concepts and probably experience from DataBricks , Spark, Airflow , Kafka , S3 , GitHub , L amda , IaC , IAM etc.

• Ability to communicate fluently at various levels of organization

• Fluent verbal and written in English (Finnish considered a s a plus)

• Preferably but not obligatory a master’s degree in industrial engineering, computer science , economics or similar 

Succeeding in this position requires you to be good at structuring and scheduling your own work. You can lay down frameworks and models that can be used by other members in your project. We appreciate your expertise on the subject but even more we value the will and ability to create robust maintainable solutions lasting time
