We are looking for a

DEVELOPMENT MANAGER

Your role in the future Metsä

Metsä Fibre is building a demo plant for lignin refining in connection with Metsä’s Äänekoski bioproduct mill. To support our demo project we are now strengthening our new lignin product application development. As a Development Manager you will be in the centre of development work related to new lignin applications. You will work closely with both external research network in the field and potential customers in the application value chains. You will be a member of our lignin demo project group and do close cooperation with Metsä Fibre’s other professionals.

Your location will be in Metsä Fibre’s Äänekoski Bioproduct mill or at our headquarters in Espoo.

What do we expect from you?

You have a master’s degree or doctoral degree suitable for the position. You know lignin as a biopolymer and its chemical and physical characteristics. You have proven record in research and development of lignin-based applications and have already networks in the area. You might also already be involved in commercial lignin product application development. We expect you to have solid experience in project work with partners, good partner management skills, and capable in working in networks. As a person you are focused on collaboration and problem-solving and are self-directed and productive. As a whole, you are highly committed and capable in development of new added-value lignin-based solutions for future markets.
