Introduction 

We are seeking an Engineering Manager, Equipment EIA to strengthen our Smelting EIA team in Finland! In this role, you will be involved in planning and implementing various EIA activities as well as delivering R&D projects. In this position, you will report to Director, EIA Engineering.

This position is preferably located either in Espoo or Tampere, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. Please note that this position involves some traveling.

What you’ll do 

• Plan and implement EIA activities to support mainly anode furnace and anode casting deliveries. 
• Act as a delivery stakeholder in R&D projects 
• Develop design and engineering concept for Smelting Equipment Delivery 
• Take part in designing customer-specific solutions 
• Lead EIA engineering work and participate in delivery projects 
• Represent the Equipment EIA discipline during customer project meetings and negotiations, in order to support work cost, quality, and schedule targets. 
• Provide technical support to external design offices and all internal groups e.g. Sales, Supply, Service and Product Management to facilitate successful design, delivery and installation of equipment. 

Who you are 

• You have a degree in Automation, Electrical Automation, or similar 
• You have expertise in VSDs, servo drives and motion control 
• You have a proactive attitude towards work and a desire for professional growth. 
• You enjoy working in the customer interface 
• You have fluent written and verbal communication skills in English 
• Know-how of basic engineering software and understanding of industrial automation system
