Material Handler

We are looking for a full-time Material Handler to join our Logistics team at Vaisala in our headquarters in Vantaa for a fixed-term position until 31st of December 2024.

In Logistics, our focus is on serving our internal customers with dedication and efficiency. You’ll have the chance to see the entire warehouse pipeline, giving you a holistic understanding of our operations. WHAT WILL YOU DO? 

You will be part of our diverse team consisting of over 30 versatile (inbound) professionals. The role of the Material handler involves receiving, shelving, picking and serving inhouse customers. You will work in two shifts, primarily in the morning (6-14) and occasionally during the day (10-18) or evening (14-22). The number of hours worked per week is 40.

• Unloadthematerialfromthetrucksandvisuallycheckthatthereis nodamage
• Receive the material to the ERP system and shelve them to the warehouse
• Maintain inventory balance, use automatic warehouse machines
• Take materials and serve production cells
• Pick the spare parts to customer orders
• Offer service to internal customers at Warehouse service desk.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU? 

• Previous experience working in logistics or a diploma from vocational studies related to logistics
• You get along with different types of people and are a team player
• Detail-oriented way of working
• Good communication skills both in English and in Finnish
• The position requires standing and reaching.
