KONE Modernization focuses on providing solutions tailored to customer needs, ranging from component upgrades to full replacement of existing equipment, as well as retrofit installations. The purpose is simple – to keep customer equipment running safely and smoothly.

We do this by differentiating and creating sustainable value to Customers throughout the building life cycle. We are looking for a

Modernization Pricing Specialist

to support the development of KONE’s Modernization pricing concepts as well as identify opportunities for development in our pricing practices.

In this role you will be joining KONE’s Global Modernization Sales Operations and Pricing team. You will play a key role in contributing to and supporting the profitable growth of KONE’s modernization business by understanding, analyzing, workshopping and following-up KONE areas and units’ pricing.

Your primary focus will involve crafting our modernization business pricing strategy and models, taking charge as the go-to pricing specialist, overseeing our pricing excellence process. You'll collaborate with various teams to understand both global trends and local market needs deeply. Your expertise will be pivotal in performing pricing analyses for complex and sometimes bespoke projects, transforming data into actionable insights for informed pricing decisions. This entails identifying trends, optimal pricing points, and growth opportunities, alongside thorough assessments of competitors' pricing strategies. You'll also guide pricing initiatives across different areas and coordinate workshops on adopting a pricing-focused mindset. Working closely with other teams, your goal will be to ensure that our pricing strategies align with what's best for our customers and KONE's long-term goals.

We expect you to have:

• BSc or MSc in a relevant subject (e.g., business, finance, engineering, statistics, mathematics, computer science).

• Experience or exposure to working in a matrix organization and willingness to contribute to the development of colleagues' skills.

• Work experience within Sales/Pricing and understanding of KONE modernization business is considered as an asset.

• Ability to drive things independently and can-do attitude

• Ability to collaborate and work across functions, engaging with multiple stakeholders.

• Good analytical and quantitative skills, with attention to detail, and an eagerness to learn how to interpret and leverage data to support pricing strategies and decisions. capability to effectively use basic analytical software such as Excel is mandatory.

• Strong communication, negotiation, presentation and facilitation skills.

• Enthusiastic and proactive approach to networking, with developing interpersonal skills.

• Interest in corporate strategy & finance, with a willingness to learn and grow in this area. Previous exposure to management consulting or analyst work would be considered an asset.

• Interest in analyzing and contributing to the development of pricing strategies, with exposure to sales and pricing development seen as a potential asset.

• Fluency in English is required, with proficiency in other languages seen as a potential asset.
