Job Description - Product Sales Manager

Are you a results-oriented person who wants to move our customers' performance forward?

In Valmet's Environmental Systems business we develop, sell, and deliver technologies which help our customers manage their emissions efficiently. Our offering includes solutions for dry flue gas cleaning, wet flue gas cleaning and heat recovery, flue gas desulfurization, NOx reduction and burner applications for example for Power generation and Pulp industries around the world. We provide solutions to our customers globally, with projects varying in size and scope.

We are looking for two (2) Product Sales Managers to our Concept sales team in Environmental Systems technology unit. The position is located in Tampere.

As the Product Sales Manager you will develop the winning concept and ensure the customer understands and believes in it. Your responsibilities will include for example product and process design and promotion, proposal coordination, presentations, and technical negotiations as well as commercial discussions. You will act as the link between our product team and the customer, ensuring smooth flow of information. Y ou will prepare and be responsible of cost calculation in co-operation with internal stakeholders and suppliers. You will lead the team to prepare our technical documentation and commercial quotation. You will work together with the sales managers and other stakeholders to find out and offer new opportunities.

You are holding a M.Sc. degree in Energy and environmental-, chemical-, thermal- or process engineering. You should have a strong understanding of flue gas cleaning technologies, and experience in sales and project deliveries. Fluent English skills is required, both written and spoken. Other languages such as Finnish, Swedish or German are seen as an advantage. This position includes regular travelling around the world.

To succeed in this position, you can design feasible flue gas cleaning concepts to several different customer requirements. You can prepare life-cycle-cost analysis, feasibility evaluation and discuss technical details of several different products. In addition, you have expertise in heat recovery optimization and condensate treatment processes, and you know how to integrate the solution to boiler operation or other customer applications.

You understand complex products, you can develop competitive solutions, and present them to customers in a compelling way. You understand customers' needs and know the possibilities of our offering inside out. Moving our customers' performance forward is one of our core values and it should be your key driver as well. We appreciate an open-minded and innovative thinker with a sales mindset, who can push the limits of technology. You have a systematic way of working and you can plan and prioritize not only your own work but others' work as well. You will need excellent interpersonal and leadership skills to keep the sales team aligned and deliver timely and good quality quotations for our customers on time.
