Senior IT Manager for Data Platforms and Technology, K Group

Our team consists of 20 data platform professionals from different cultures, and your job is to lead a sub-team of 8 professionals to make sure that they get their job done (by supporting and managing them).

Data Platforms & Technology team in K IT is looking for a Senior IT Manager with a focus on data & Business Intelligence solutions management. The position is fixed term parental leave cover from 1.5.2024 until 28.2.2026. Your specific area of responsibility is to lead and coordinate our team of professionals working with various data & BI technologies (e.g. SAP BW/4HANA, QlikSense, PowerBI), act as the IT business partner towards named business units and cooperate closely with various IT stakeholders to ensure a solid roadmap for the data & BI solutions in the future. You might also act as the IT project manager for selected BI&data projects and be the driving force in the continuous improvement of BI&data processes. Besides K IT and business stakeholders, you will also work in collaboration directly with suppliers and, most importantly, help the Managers and Specialists in your team to thrive in their own areas of responsibilities.

What we expect from you is expertise and experience in:

• managing IT development, application maintenance services and projects
• overall business and finance processes, e.g. budgeting
• professional communication skills towards business and other stakeholders
• team management experience especially in IT area is considered an advantage
• Business Intelligence & Data architecture and tools considered as advantage (e.g. SAP BW/4HANA, QlikSense and Snowflake)

Ideally you already had an active manager role with data & Business Intelligence related areas, or other IT areas. Any experience and technical understanding of BI, DW, ETL (e.g. ADF), integration/visualization tools or any software development technologies is considered valuable. You are familiar with agile development processes and able to communicate efficiently with various stakeholders including non-IT counterparts. You are fluent in written and spoken English, fluency in Finnish, Swedish or Norwegian is considered an asset.
