To strengthen our team, we are looking for an experienced

Mechanical Design Engineer

to join our growing team in Helsinki, Finland. This team is a diverse and experienced collective of 20 individuals from 10 different nationalities, embodying the spirit of a startup. As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll join our product development team to create innovative desktop-sized laboratory devices tailored for personalized medicine manufacturing. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the entire product lifecycle. Ideal candidates will have a background in developing market-ready solutions, particularly in the medical field or other precision mechanical devices.

Your Role

You will play a pivotal role in in designing, developing, and refining the mechanical designs of products in our Pharma Kit. This project aims to enhance the safety, efficiency, and customization of personalized medicine production, directly impacting patient care and the operational capacity of pharmacies and hospitals.

Your Daily Tasks Will Include

• Mechanics and part design
• Project management
• Design for manufacturing, Material selection
• Working with assemblies
• Mechatronics design including sensors, etc.
• Engaging in the full product lifecycle from concept to manufacturing, ensuring a cutting-edge final product.

What we expect from you

• 4-8 years of experience in machine design or product development
• CAD and technical drawing skills from prototyping to manufacturing
• A BSc or MSc degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Proficient in CAD software and knowledgeable about industry regulatory standards.
• Experience of managing hardware development projects

Experience in the following is viewed as a plus

• Developing motion systems
• Prototyping, assembly, manufacturing
• Precision mechanics development
• Inventor, Fusion 360, Solidworks
• BOM, Supply chain, PDM
