We are seeking a Senior Product Technical Support Experts  with automation skills to join our Filters Technical Support team in Beneficiation, Dewatering & Hydro BL in Services BA. Our team is providing support to all Metso filtration technologies, and therefore, we also have diverse needs for different disciplines such as EIA, mechanics, hydraulics, and process know-how. Experience and knowledge of filtration technologies and processes is essential. As a Product Technical Support Expert, you report to Senior Manager, Technical Support. 

The location for this position can be agreed upon since we have flexibility for the right candidate. We are also happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options. Please note that the position requires some local and international travel from time to time. 

What you’ll do

  • Providing highest technical expertise in the area of trouble-shooting, process knowledge, technical incidents, operation and maintenance for “technology xx”.
  • Specializing to own technology areas in order to provide expertise support in site operations and technology related incidents and inquiries or problems
  • Leading severe incident investigation (tier 2)
  • Participating in technical warranty claim or customer complain handling.
  • Supporting installation & commissioning team (when applicable)
  • Act as a main trainer for internal/external technical trainings, including certification program.
  • Mentoring and coaching role within the team and organization
  • Responsibility of training material content
  • Expertise support for problem management, technical sales support, connected services, R&D and product development.
  • Contribute to Technical Knowledge Management (service workbooks, manuals, eCatalogues , resolution database, fault statistics and activity in technical community) in own technology area.
  • Ensure systematic case handling through workflow/ticketing system according to agreed response and resolution times with adequate resolution information.
  • Ensure proper fulfillment of all QEHS rules and regulations of country, Metso Outotec and the customer
  • Support IB Validation and maintenance of the CRM with equipment operational information
  • Support CTO and ETO quotation development through solution definition and technical research
  • Supports inspection report reviews, recommendations and solution as requested
  • Escalates and communicates issues and feedback to Product Management/Product Line
  • Participate 24/7 technical support program
  • Technical Global Quotation Support

Who you are:

  • Engineering degree or a similar degree in the area of electrification and/or industrial automation
  • Knowledge and experience in PLC programming is required. Other programming skills are seen as a great asset
  • Knowledge and understanding of filtration equipment and processes
  • At least a few years of relevant industry experience 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Accountability and problem-solving skills with an ability to manage multiple assignments, priorities, and deadlines
