Job Description - Senior UX Designer

About the role

At Odevo, we consider customer experience and UX a critical differentiator, closely connected to our strategic ambition to transform the global property management industry. We believe generative AI will be an important part of this transformation. You will play a vital role in fulfilling this ambition by driving our approach to Design and UX in the nordic market.

As a UX designer at Odevo, you will be a key contributor in 1-2 development teams, and a part of a global design team, led by Head of CX & UX in Stockholm, Sweden. This role involves driving design activities from discovery, research, and journey mapping, to wireframing, detailed interaction design, high fidelity design, prototyping and user testing.

Each market manages a platform with customer and employee facing products meaning you will work with both “B2C-” and “B2B-like” product experiences. Even though this role's main focus is on designing the experience of our nordic market customers, you will also work with the global design team to develop design ops, design system, raise CX maturity and support knowledge sharing cross our three markets - Nordic, UK, and Southeast coast of US.

Responsibilities

  • Research and identify user & customer problems and derive relevant solutions based on quantitative and qualitative data.
  • Together with product leads visualise a product vision, define experience principles and develop needed tools to guide the team in creating a great customer experience.
  • Manage complex stakeholder interactions, working closely with product and engineering teams, and the business operation to propose the best solutions to key customer problems.
  • Lead the execution of product design activities within an agile product development team. You will work throughout the design process from collecting insight, to framing the problem, prototyping, and testing concepts - to detailing design solutions and applying existing/developing new design patterns, review and follow up launch to define continuous enhancements. This will require both visual design, UI- and UX-design skills.
  • Contribute to building up our design system to support an efficient UI development and consistent product experience.
  • Continuously assess and optimize the performance of new and existing products and services by conducting usability testing and interpreting analytical data.
  • Create user journey maps, workflows, and personas to use as important tools to deepen the organizational understanding of our users and ensure a user and customer centric product development.
  • Connect everything we design to customers’ needs AND business goals and relentlessly communicate the connection between them to the organization, to stress how we work consciously with customer experience.

Experience

  • At least 5-10 years of professional experience as a designer developing digital product experiences for both web, mobile and desktop experiences.
  • Previous experience of working with product development in a large service industry and understanding of the complexity it brings to experience design.
  • Master's degree in relevant area preferred.
  • Used to taking a lead in your role as UX designer, supporting the development teams understanding in how we deliver user/customer value.
  • Experience from working with CX/service design – focusing on the full customer journey – taking both physical and digital interactions into the design process.
  • A broad understanding and practical experience of working with design in an agile/scrum development approach in a scaling multi-team organization
  • Experience of and designing products backed by generative AI and how it affects interaction design and user experience is a plus
  • Experience from PropTech or FinTech industry is a plus

Location and Language

  1. It is important that you have the opportunity to work from our office in Helsingfors one day a week, as we always need to be able to work close with our users and customers regardless of whether it is physical or digital work.
  1. You speak and write good Swedish and English.
