In Summer Power Sales, Purchasing and Supply Chain we offer versatile tasks related to sales and purchasing processes with stakeholder cooperation, material management and sourcing. These positions can be situated within both Marine or Energy Business in a local or global scale.

Responsibilities

All work for both Purchasing, Sales and Supply Chains within different Wärtsilä functions, is guided by the Wärtsilä Way and our visions of the future. Part of your responsibility will be to support your team in daily tasks while conducting independent tasks within your responsibility area.

You will also be in close cooperation with relevant internal and external stakeholders. In this category the tasks may include things like documentation, supplier communication, quotation processing, procurement, preparing services product proposals, sales support, Invoice handling, conducting customer analyses and managing and measuring supplier quality levels.

We offer summer trainee possibilities for instance in the following areas:

• Purchasing
• Indirect Purchasing
• Sales & Sales Support
• Logistics
• Supply Chain and Material Management

Requirements

We are looking for motivated, curious and solution focused students that share our ambitions towards decarbonisation and making a difference. We value team players with the ability to cooperate in an environment that supports diversity and inclusion.

As an ideal candidate you have

• On-going studies in a relevant field (B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering, Industrial Management, Material Management, Supply Chain, Economics or equivalent)
• Strong communication skills and working fluency in English, both written and spoken
• Negotiation and problem-solving skills

• Target oriented and analytical way of working

• Knowledge and/or experience in programs like: SAP, MES, PowerBI
• Knowledge of mechanical manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read Mechanical/Electrical DRWs.
• The ability to work independently and effectively on multiple tasks with time constraints
• Understanding of export and import procedures
• Knowledge of Incoterms, logistics processes, forwarding, international trade
• Experience in logistics, sales, purchasing or supply chain management

To ensure a fair and equal compensation for all selected trainees, the salary for each trainee (monthly salaries) is set based on the level of studies and number of acquired study credits. The salary range is 1 825€ - 2 535€/month depending on the above given factors.
