We are looking for a summer trainee to join the Country HR team which provides customer centric, compliant HR support locally. Country HR is part of HR Operations and in short, our focus is to provide local HR support and advisory to the businesses in Finland, to ensure smooth delivery of all relevant HR services and to assure ongoing compliance with local regulations. We are a remote team of 4 colleagues working in Helsinki, Tampere and Raisio. We support Cargotec’s three business areas Kalmar, Hiab and MacGregor as well as the Group functions.

 

The position can be located in any of our sites in Finland. The trainee period lasts from Mid-May to the end of August, with an option to continue part-time during the semester. We are also open to considering part-time work already in the spring of 2023.

Your main tasks and responsibilities include:

 

• Supporting with activities related to HR’s annual processes and employment life-cycle 
• Coordinate Cargotec’s Trainee activities in Finland
• Support in diverse development initiatives
• Support in ad hoc tasks and internal communication
• Backfilling for a range of HR generalist tasks during the summer holidays

 

What you’ll need to succeed:

 

We are looking for a customer-oriented and collaborative person, who eagerly takes on new responsibilities. Our team is there to support you, but you must be self-driven and able to steer your own work. You collaborate naturally with diverse stakeholders, and don’t hesitate to reach out to colleagues you don’t know yet. 

 

You are able to structure your work and have some attention to detail. You have fluent verbal and written communication skills in Finnish and English, combined with strong IT literacy, incl. ideally some experience in Google tools. 

 

Studies or previous work experience in the field of Human Resources are an advantage in this role. Having some recruitment or event coordination experience might be helpful, as you will be in charge of coordinating our Trainee activities.
