Kalmar Horizontal Transportation, Sourcing and Procurement is looking for a Trainee, Project Purchasing who will operate purchasing components and steel structures for Horizontal Transportation division projects. As a Trainee, Project Purchasing you will purchase items for Straddle Carriers and R&D purposes, manufactured at Tampere and items needed at our site operations. Your main purpose will be to purchase, forecast and coordinate project components and deliveries, ensure items delivery to site according confirmed delivery dates.

 

Main tasks and responsibilities

 

• Purchasing and pricing Kalmar Horizontal Transportation  division project components        
• Coordinating international and domestic direct and indirect deliveries        
• Updating ERP system data        
• Managing suppliers performance in terms of quality, cost, delivery        
• Obtain schedule and delivery confirmations from suppliers        
• Proactive working attitude        

 

What you’ll need to succeed

 

• Technical studies (electrical or  mechanical, >2 years)    
• At least one year for working experience in mechanical or electrical industry  
• Knowledge of industrial electrical and/or mechanical components   
• Experience with purchasing processes        
• ERP system procurement experiences               
• Good Excel and IT skills        
• Communication skills in both Finnish and English
