Join us as a Quality & Food Safety Manager, Outsourcing Delivery Unit As a Quality and Food Safety Manager, Outsourcing Delivery Unit at Fazer Confectionery, you are ensuring that Confectionery business contract manufacturing suppliers’ operations quality and quality assurance is in line with the Fazer Quality Management and Policy to ensure that products are fit for purpose and meeting customer expectations. Together with team of experts at outsourcing team, quality and food safety and group sourcing you ensure that suppliers continue to develop and implement best practices that emphasise defect prevention, reduction in variation and waste and meets quality standards required to ensure food safety, minimise quality costs and maximise customer satisfaction whilst ensuring that procedures and processes are adhered to. You will be part of the team building partner network according to Fazer Confectionery strategic targets, with clearly increasing YtoY supply from contract manufacturing partners. Team will be responsible for executing both active product relocations as well as novelty projects while ensuring the high quality of existing contract manufacturing supply. You are responsible of Quality and Food Safety of our Outsourcing Delivery Unit with holistic manner. Main tasks are related to continuous quality work together with suppliers, outsourcing partner’s audits and corrective actions follow up, monitoring and reporting on supplier quality and food safety performance issues and impacts, and executing consumer and customer complaint investigations and responses together with outsourcing partners. This position is located in Vantaa and requires willingness to travel both domestic and abroad. You will report to Fazer Confectionery’s Outsourcing Delivery Unit Director and Quality and Food Safety Senior Manager. Why choose Fazer Confectionery? It starts with the people. What you'll bring to the team? We are looking for an experienced professional with minimum 5 years of experience of working in quality and food safety management roles. You have proven track record of overall responsibility of leading and developing quality management and food safety. You have solid experience and knowledge of food safety management standards (FSSC22000/IFS/BRC), quality management standard ISO9001 and food safety legislation. You have proven external auditing experience in food industry and experience of dealing with customers and suppliers. Knowledge of international food legislation is an advantage. You communicate fluently both in English and in Finnish. Your professionalism is based on a Master’s degree in Food Science / Engineering or other relevant field of study.
