Job Description - Apply for Nordic Business Forum 2025 Customer Service Team

Are you driven to learn, challenge yourself, and be part of something truly extraordinary? Are you willing to go over and above the ordinary to provide the world's best customer experience to our 7 200+ event attendees?


We are now recruiting business students from Haaga-Helia, Laurea, and Metropolia to the Nordic Business Forum 2025 customer service team! The event takes place on September 24–25, 2025 in Helsinki, and it's your chance to help deliver a world-class customer experience for 7 200+ attendees from around the world.

Our customer service team will work as one united team to run the following customer service functions at the 2-day event:

Check-in
Efficiently welcome attendees and hand out event badges. After peak times, support other functions.

Cloakroom
Providing next-level cloakroom services that are known to go beyond merely storing jackets and luggage.

Roaming Customer Service
Support and guide attendees across the venue and its surroundings.

Seminar Hall
Helping our attendees find their seats and ensure in any other ways that they can enjoy their event experience to the fullest. Many from this function will join other functions to help out.

First Class Services
Hosting First Class customers and overseeing the First Class Lounge.

Info Desks
Helping customers at event info desks.

Customer Group Hosting
Hosting bigger customer groups during their visit.

Speaker Services
Assist and host our event speakers and performers.

Special Services
Support logistics and ad-hoc needs closely with the NBF Core Team.


Each function plays an equally critical role in providing a smooth, energizing experience to our event attendees. Team Leaders will allocate people to these functions after the interviews.

📅 Important Dates & Commitments

To be eligible, you must:

  • Be a current student at Haaga-Helia, Laurea, or Metropolia in autumn 2025
  • Be available in person on all the following dates:

Wed, Sep 10 | NBF Training 1 (2–6 pm @ Haaga-Helia Pasila)
Tue, Sep 16 | NBF Training 2 (2–6 pm @ Haaga-Helia Pasila)
Fri, Sep 19 | NBF Training 3 (12–4 pm @ Haaga-Helia Pasila)
Mon-Tue, Sep 22-23 | Event setup (4–8 hours/day @ Helsinki Expo & Convention Centre)
Wed-Thu, Sep 24-25 | Event days (12 hours/day @ Helsinki Expo & Convention Centre)
Wed, Oct 1 | Course report deadline in Moodle (for credits)
Fri, Oct 24 | Feedback session (2–4 pm @ Haaga-Helia Pasila)


Course enrollment (via Haaga-Helia or 3AMK) will only happen after you've been selected through our recruitment process. To receive the credits, you must submit your course report by the deadline: October 1st. Late submissions will not be accepted.

We’re looking for students who:

  • Are flexible, proactive, and passionate about excellent customer service
  • Have a positive mindset and love taking on new challenges
  • Work well in teams and communicate fluently in English
  • Are ready to represent NBF in a professional outfit: black suit, white shirt/blouse, and businesslike shoes (accessories provided by NBF; if you don’t own or have access to the full outfit, we will provide help with the missing pieces.)
  • Have WhatsApp on a smartphone for event communications
  • Professional training tailored to your role
  • Real-world experience at a high-profile international event
  • 3 ECTS credits toward your degree
  • A work certificate
  • Access to event speaker content (3-month post-event streaming)
  • Compensation for event week work (€9.00/hour) + free meals and snacks during event days
  • Great networking among fellow students and NBF colleagues

  • Interviews will be held in person in Pasila between August 21 – September 1
    • Returning team members: individual interviews
    • New applicants: group interviews
  • Final selections will be communicated by September 5
