Assistant Restaurant Manager

About the role:

Reporting to theFood & Beverage Manager you will be responsible for ensuring that all restaurant operations are run efficiently. Key responsibilities will be:

• Assist in managing the daily operations and help deliver the best guest experience
• Lead and mentor the Restaurant team alongside the Food & Beverage Manager and create help shape a collaborative culture
• Implement and maintain operational standards, ensuring efficiency delivery of the highest standards of service
• Assisting of the management of the team when required, rosters, daily briefings, onboarding
• Liaise with the other departments in the hotel on a daily basis to ensure smooth operations

The successful candidate will have:

• A background in fine dining and wine service is essential
• Previous senior level Food and Beverage experience in boutique lodges or 5 star properties
• Strong beverage and wine knowledge
• Ability to train a team of mixed skill levels
• Impeccable personal grooming
• Knowledge and experience with Hospitality Management systems
• Strong and effective communication skills
• Ability to work accurately in a fast paced and dynamic environment
• Reliable, honest and engaged with excellent attention to detail
