About the Role 

We are looking for a Cloud Security Expert to strengthen KONE’s Data Center & Cloud Platforms team. You will help ensure our on-premise, AWS, and Azure environments meet KONE’s cybersecurity policies and operational security standards. 

In this role, you act as the security governance and posture specialist within the platform engineering team, translating cybersecurity policies into operational controls, supporting risk and vulnerability management, and ensuring continuous improvement of cloud and datacenter security. 

This is a hands-on operational security role with strong collaboration across KONE Cybersecurity, product teams, cloud platform owners, architects, DevOps engineers, and external service partners. 

What You Will Do 

Security Governance & Compliance 

• Implement cloud and datacenter security controls based on policies from KONE Cybersecurity. 

• Ensure platform compliance with cloud security standards. 

• Support updates to KONE’s security control catalog, guidelines, and governance processes. 

• Translate cybersecurity policies, standards, and regulatory requirements into actionable technical controls for AWS, Azure, and on‑prem platforms. 

• Drive adoption of cloud guardrails, baseline configurations, and platform‑level security patterns. 

Vulnerability & Risk Management 

• Monitor, analyze, and track vulnerabilities across on-prem, AWS, and Azure environments. 

• Drive remediation with platform teams and service partners based on risk prioritization. 

• Maintain and improve cloud risk registers and support threat/risk assessments. 

• Provide governance oversight to ensure risks are documented, owned, and mitigated according to KONE’s risk management framework. 

Cloud Security Posture Management 

• Manage CSPM platforms to continuously assess AWS and Azure security posture.  

• Identify configuration gaps and ensure alignment with KONE’s cloud guardrails. 

• Implement and maintain cloud security policies, guardrails, and automated controls to ensure secure configurations. 

• Work hands‑on with platform teams to remediate posture findings and strengthen baseline security. 

Incident & Operational Security Support 

• Support Cybersecurity Operations in cloud related investigations and incident analysis. 

• Help ensure security alerts (e.g., Defender for Cloud) are escalated and resolved appropriately. 

• Contribute to root‑cause analysis and ensure corrective actions are embedded into platform governance. 

Stakeholder Collaboration 

• Serve as the subject matter expert for cloud security topics across KONE IT.  

• Provide clear communication on risks, posture results, and security remediation needs. 

• Collaborate closely with platform engineers, architects, DevOps teams, and service partners. 

• Act as the governance liaison between Cybersecurity and platform engineering, ensuring consistent interpretation and implementation of security requirements. 

What We’re Looking For 

Technical Skills 

• Strong understanding of AWS, Azure, and on-prem infrastructure security. 

• Experience with vulnerability management, risk assessments, and compliance monitoring. 

• Familiarity with CSPM tooling and cloud configuration best practices.  

• Understanding cloud shared responsibility models across IaaS/PaaS/SaaS. 

• Hands‑on experience implementing cloud security guardrails, policies, and automated controls (e.g., SCPs, Azure Policies, IAM governance).  

Preferred Experience 

• 6-8 yrs of experience from supporting cloud security operations, alert handling, or incident analysis. 

• Exposure to ISO 27017 or similar cloud security frameworks. 

• Background in security governance, cloud compliance, or platform‑level security architecture is an advantage. 

Soft Skills 

• Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset. 

• A clear communicator with the ability to translate technical details into actionable insights. 

• Collaborative working style across global, cross functional teams. 

• Ability to influence platform and product teams and drive adoption of security governance requirements. 

Education & Certifications 

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Information Security, Engineering, or similar. 

• Certifications such as AWS Security Specialty, Azure Security Engineer, ISO 27001/27017, CISSP or CCSP are considered an advantage.
