Concept Manager

The company operates over 350 energy sites providing heating and cooling for municipalities, households, businesses, and complex energy solutions and services for industries and real estate. Today Adven operates in Finland, Sweden, Norway, Estonia, and Latvia, and we are currently building our operations in the Netherlands.

We are looking for Concept Manager to join our Heat Pumps and Cooling team in Finland

The purpose of your work is to initiate and develop sustainable and efficient energy concepts and solutions for our customers. Your focus will be in large scale industrial heat pump and cooling systems with natural refrigerants, heat recovery and energy efficiency.

As a Concept Manager you develop optimal and tailor-made concepts for selected customer cases, manage the investment development together with external and internal shareholders, and secure a smooth transfer of the case to the project execution team. Your tasks also include supplier management and co-operation of technology providers (for example key equipment suppliers) and managing internal and external engineering resources as part of pre-engineering activities. You also have a key role in core technology tendering and contracting, and as a technology expert through the completion of the project.

You will be based in Adven’s head office in Vantaa, Finland, but the work is not tied to one place or time and flexible remote working and Adven offices around Finland are also available. You will report to Head of Heat Pumps and Cooling.

To succeed in the role, we expect you to have

• 10+ years of experience of industrial projects or process engineering of which several years specifically with heat pumps and cooling
• BEng or MSc (tech) degree in energy technology or another relevant technical field
• Ability to understand customers’ needs, and create sustainable and profitable concepts around them
• Excellent problem-solving skills and solution-oriented mindset
• Organized and systematic working style, ability to prioritize
• Project management skills, ability to move things forward independently and efficiently
• Understanding of general business processes, tendering and contracting
• Good communication and collaboration skills, willingness to work in the customer interface
• Fluent language skills in both in Finnish and in English
• Formal qualification for refrigeration engineering is considered as an asset, for example FISE certification.
