Job Summary: The Datacenter Security Manager is responsible for overseeing the security operations of a datacenter facility. This role involves ensuring the safety and security of all physical and digital assets, implementing security policies, managing security staff, and responding to security incidents. The Datacenter Security Manager will work closely with other departments to ensure comprehensive security measures are in place.



Key Responsibilities:


Physical Security Management:


· Develop, implement, and maintain physical security policies and procedures.


· Oversee access control systems, including biometric and keycard systems, to ensure only authorized personnel have access to secure areas.


· Conduct regular security audits and risk assessments to identify vulnerabilities and implement corrective actions.


· Manage security personnel, including hiring, training, and scheduling security staff.


· Ensure proper functioning and maintenance of security systems such as surveillance cameras, alarms, and intrusion detection systems.


Incident Response and Management:


· Develop and maintain incident response plans for security breaches and emergencies.


· Lead the investigation and resolution of security incidents, including coordinating with law enforcement if necessary.


· Conduct post-incident analysis to improve security measures and prevent future incidents.


· Maintain detailed records of security incidents and responses.


Compliance and Regulatory Adherence:


· Ensure compliance with relevant security standards and regulations, such as ISO 27001, SOC 2, Katakri, and other industry-specific requirements.


· Prepare for and participate in security audits and assessments conducted by third parties or regulatory bodies.


· Implement policies and procedures to ensure data privacy and protection.


Collaboration and Communication:


· Work closely with IT, facilities, and operations teams to align security measures with overall datacenter operations.


· Communicate security policies and procedures to all employees and contractors.


· Provide security awareness training to staff to promote a culture of security within the organization.


· Act as the primary point of contact for all security-related matters.


Security Systems Management:


· Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of security systems and technologies.


· Stay current with emerging security technologies and industry trends to ensure the datacenter remains secure.


· Develop and manage the security budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions are implemented without compromising security.


Vendor and Contractor Management:


· Evaluate and manage relationships with security service providers and vendors.


· Ensure that third-party contractors and vendors comply with the datacenter's security policies and standards.


· Conduct security assessments of third-party services and products.


Qualifications:


· Bachelor's degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Information Technology, or a related field. Master’s degree preferred.


· Professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Protection Professional (CPP), or Physical Security Professional (PSP).


· Several years of experience in security management, preferably in a datacenter or mission-critical facility environment.


· Strong knowledge of physical security systems, access control, surveillance systems, and security protocols.


· Familiarity with relevant security standards and regulations (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2, Katakri).


· Good leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.


· Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.


· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.


· Experience with incident response and crisis management.


· Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
