Data Consultant / Architect

We are looking for a Data Consultant / Architect with strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Fabric to work on client projects across various industries. In this role, you design and deliver modern data and analytics solutions that help our customers turn data into real business value. 

What you’ll do

• Design and build end-to-end analytics solutions using Microsoft Fabric

• Work directly with client stakeholders in data platform, analytics, and AI-ready projects

• Implement Lakehouse, Warehouse, OneLake, and best-practice architectures

• Build data pipelines, transformations, and semantic models for Power BI

• Advise clients on modern data platforms, governance, and Fabric adoption

• Take ownership from design to delivery in customer projects

What we’re looking for

• Hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric and/or Microsoft Synapse

• Good understanding of data modeling, analytics, and Power BI

• Working knowledge of SQL and Spark, DAX is a plus

• Experience working in customer projects or consulting environments

• Clear communicator with both technical and business audiences

• Pragmatic, delivery-focused mindset

Nice to have

• Experience with AI & Copilot-ready data platforms

• Power BI semantic model experience

• Background in Azure data services

• Interest in modern analytics, governance, and best practices

Role overview

We are looking for a Data Consultant with strong hands-on experience in Microsoft Fabric to work on customer projects across different industries. In this role, you design, build, and advise on modern data and analytics solutions that help our clients make better, data-driven decisions.

The consultant works often directly with client stakeholders, combining technical expertise, consultative thinking, and practical delivery skills.

• Customer projects (analytics platforms, reporting, AI readiness)

• Advisory / architecture work

• Modernization and migration initiatives

• Status quo analysis and technical road map analysis

• Ongoing customer support and development

Key Responsibilities

Customer-Focused Delivery

• Work in client projects as a data consultant and technical expert

• Translate business requirements into scalable Microsoft Fabric solutions

• Communicate effectively with business stakeholders, analysts, and IT

• Take responsibility for solutions from design to implementation

Data Platform & Architecture

• Design and implement end-to-end data platforms using Microsoft Fabric

• Build architectures based on OneLake, Lakehouse, and Warehouse

• Apply best practices such as the medallion architecture (Bronze / Silver / Gold)

• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and ready for analytics and AI

Data Engineering & Integration

• Develop data pipelines using Fabric Data Pipelines and notebooks

• Integrate data from client source systems (e.g. SaaS, ERP, APIs, files)

• Perform transformations, validations, and optimizations

• Support incremental loads, scheduling, and operational stability

Analytics & Consumption (Bonus)

• Build semantic models optimized for Power BI and Copilot

• Enable self-service analytics for client business users

• Optimize performance, usability, and model clarity

• Support reporting solutions where needed

Governance, Security & Best Practices

• Implement workspace structures, permissions, and security models

• Apply customer data governance, compliance, and lifecycle requirements

• Document solutions and hand over clearly to client teams

• Contribute to shared consulting templates and best practices

Advisory & Consulting

• Advise clients on modern data platforms and Microsoft Fabric adoption

• Support workshops, design sessions, and technical discussions

• Identify improvement opportunities and recommend next steps

• Collaborate with sales and pre-sales when needed (e.g. solution design)

Technical Skills

• Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Fabric

• Solid understanding of:

  • Lakehouse and Warehouse concepts

  • Data modeling and semantic models

  • Power BI datasets and reporting (Bonus)

• Practical experience with:

  • SQL

  • Spark / notebooks

  • DAX (Bonus)
