Drafter

Navia is looking for a 

Drafter 

to join the Naval Architecture team

This role involves creating detailed drawings that specify dimensions, networks, assembly and construction (lamination) of production of boats. The technical drafter must have a strong understanding of engineering principles and design standards.

What You'll Do

• Create and revise detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings for a variety of boats and their tooling
• Work closely with naval architects and marine engineers to translate 3D and specification into production-ready plans
• Maintain drawing archives and manage version control
• Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams including structural, mechanical, and systems engineers

What You Bring

• Proven experience as a drafter, CAD technician, or draftsperson in projects, boat industry would be considered a plus.
• Proficiency in CAD software (AutoCAD, Rhino or equivalent)
• Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and blueprints
• Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• A degree or a certification in technical drawing, marine engineering, or related field preferred

• Knowledge of marine structural components, shipbuilding methods, and materials would be considered a plus
