Our Entertainment and Inspiration Team will set out to solve major customer challenges around inspiration & entertainment in fashion & lifestyle e-commerce as well as helping our customers navigate the challenge of overwhelming choice in our ecosystem!

Join our team as an Engineering Manager leading our Author Success engineering team in the domain of content and storytelling. The team takes responsibility for author (content creator) lifecycle - onboarding & offboarding, integrations and infrastructure, admin tooling. Our mission is to develop innovative products that amplify our customers' content experiences and the team will play a key role in enabling the scale we have as an ambition. This role provides a unique opportunity to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team, shape the technical direction, and oversee the execution of projects as well as evolve ways of working of the team and department overall.

WHAT WE’D LOVE YOU TO DO (AND LOVE DOING)

• Provide leadership, guidance, and mentorship to a diverse team of engineers, nurturing their professional growth, being fair and empathetic in performance management, and offering specific, actionable feedback.

• Partner closely with product managers, designers to develop the technical roadmap and translate customer and business requirements into high-quality technical solutions.

• Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, assuring timely delivery of robust, scalable software products and contributing to reliable operation of the team's production software systems.

• Advocate for best engineering practices, coding standards, and QA processes, ensuring high standards of software craftsmanship and managing incident responses and improving operating procedures.

• Foster a collaborative and inclusive culture that values open communication, knowledge sharing, continuous improvement, and work-life balance.

• Liaise with stakeholders to understand business goals, transforming them into effective engineering strategies, and effectively escalating and resolving roadblocks.

• Maintain a broad view of the department's architecture, content and storytelling domain, understand the e-commerce market, and track technology trends.

WE’D LOVE TO MEET YOU IF

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or in a similar role in a fast-paced, agile software development setting.

• Software engineering background with strong technical expertise.

• Track record of successfully delivering complex software projects on time and within budget.

• Outstanding people management abilities, adept at inspiring, motivating and growing a team of engineers.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling efficient collaboration with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

• Strong passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences, with a profound understanding of user-centered design.

• Knowledge of content creation and management or storytelling domain is highly desirable.
