Job Description - Event & Community Manager

We’re a close-knit, ambitious team of 40, driven by a mission to make the world a better place by providing affordable, environmentally sustainable cloud capacity to organizations. As we scale, we are looking for a dynamic and community-driven Event & Community Manager to strengthen our connections, foster engagement, and enhance our brand presence. This role is key in organizing impactful events, building strong relationships within our ecosystem, and ensuring our community thrives as we grow.

Design and execute event-driven marketing strategies, including meetups, webinars, hackathons, and other community engagements to enhance brand visibility.
Collaborate with internal teams, partners, and industry leaders to craft compelling event narratives and networking opportunities.
Organize and manage developer meetups, technical workshops, and online discussions that foster engagement within our target audience.
Oversee event planning, venue selection, vendor management, budgeting, and on-site execution to ensure seamless event delivery.
Identify key industry events, manage sponsorships, coordinate booth setups, and arrange speaker sessions to maximize our presence.
Measure event success through key metrics, gather feedback, and optimize future strategies for impact and ROI.

Proven experience in event management, conference planning, or community management within the AI, deep tech, or startup ecosystem.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple events and deadlines simultaneously.
Experience in coordinating conference sponsorships, booths, and speaker engagements.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills for engaging with industry partners, speakers, and stakeholders.
Familiarity with community building, particularly in tech or developer-focused environments, is a plus.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
Ability to travel abroad to the world’s established and emerging AI hubs at least once every month.
Familiarity with the AI landscape, understanding of technical concepts, and eagerness to deepen hands-on skills.
Ability to work independently and take ownership of the processes.
