At Virta, we’re transforming the EV charging industry – and we’re looking for a HR Manager to strengthen our People & Culture team. In this role, you’ll be the operational backbone of our HR function, ensuring that day-to-day processes – from recruitment and onboarding to payroll coordination and offboarding – run smoothly and efficiently. Reporting to our Chief People & Culture Officer, you will play a key role in supporting our people, enabling our growth, and shaping Virta’s success globally. This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative company in the rapidly growing EV charging sector, helping to disrupt the energy industry and accelerate the transition to a cleaner future.
Key Responsibilities
Employee lifecycle management: Manage the end-to-end employee journey, including recruitment support, role changes, and termination processes.
Onboarding & offboarding: Lead the onboarding process for new hires. Manage the offboarding process, including final settlements, equipment retrieval, and access revocation to ensure compliance with security standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001).
Payroll & benefits support: Support our team working with external payroll providers ensuring high quality data.
HR systems administration: Maintain and optimize our HR tools, including BambooHR for employee data and Visma Severa for working hour tracking and absence management.
Reporting: Provide regular HR metrics and reports to management to support data-driven decision-making.
Continuously improve HR processes: identify pain points and bottlenecks in current ways of working, propose improvements, and lead and/or support implementation projects.
What You’ll Bring
Proven experience in HR operations or as an HR Generalist, preferably in a fast-paced technology environment.
Strong knowledge of local labor legislation and HR best practices. Knowledge of labor law in countries such as Sweden, UK, France or Germany is an asset.
Experience managing HRIS and payroll systems (experience with BambooHR or Visma Severa is a plus).
A proactive, solution-oriented mindset with attention to high quality outcomes.
Ability to keep calm under pressure and adjust to changing situations.
Excellent communication skills in English (Finnish or other languages are an advantage).
