Job Description - IFS ERP Developer

Are you passionate about ERP development and eager to play a key role in driving digital transformation within the aviation industry? Join our international IT team at GA Telesis Engine Services (GATES), a global jet engine MRO based at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport, Finland.

We are now looking for an experienced IFS ERP Developer to support and develop our main ERP system IFS – helping us ensure operational excellence through robust, efficient system operations. This role combines system development, technical configuration, administration, and support of IFS Applications 10 and IFS Cloud.

This is a fixed-term position (parental leave cover) with a potential for continuation based on future business needs.

At GATES, we value teamwork and close collaboration, and we work on-site at our office right at the heart of aviation activity – at Helsinki-Vantaa Airport.

Key Responsibilities:

IFS Development & Customization

Configure and customize IFS ERP modules to meet business-specific needs.
Develop and maintain IFS components including lobbies, custom events, menus, custom fields, and page configurations.
Implement data integrations with other systems using REST APIs, web services, and SQL.

System Administration

Administer IFS Applications 10, including user provisioning, security roles, permission sets, profiles, and configuration packages.
Monitor system performance, resolve issues, and coordinate with external IFS support when needed.
Support system upgrades, including IFS Cloud migration, test planning, validation, and data migration.

Reporting & Documentation

Design and deliver reports using SQL, SSRS, and IFS Quick Reports.
Maintain ERP documentation, process standards, and ensure data integrity.

Collaboration & Client Support

Act as a liaison between IT and business units to translate requirements into scalable ERP solutions.
Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to improve functionality in IFS modules:
- Manufacturing: Shop Orders, Planning, Costing
- Supply Chain: Procurement, Inventory, Order Management
- Engineering, Quality, Customer Servic

Deliver end-user training and ongoing technical support.

Technical Skills required:

In-depth knowledge of IFS ERP Applications 10 and IFS Cloud.
Proficiency with Application Explorer, IFS Developer Studio, and Design Studio.
Strong experience with SQL, SSRS, and Quick Reports.
Familiarity with Oracle-based database environments.
Understanding of system integration methods and tools.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

3+ years of hands-on experience with IFS Applications 10 as a System Administrator or Business Analyst
Exposure to IFS Cloud or involvement in upgrade/migration projects
Strong functional knowledge across manufacturing, supply chain, and operations
Excellent communication and documentation skills for stakeholder interaction and end-user engagement

GA Telesis Engine Services (GATES) is a full-service engine overhaul and repair station located at the Helsinki International Airport in Vantaa. GATES provides comprehensive commercial engine services including repair and overhaul services for General Electric and CFM International engines. GATES has been approved by more aviation authorities than any other company in Finland. The facility operates out of a 16 000 m2 building that houses an integrated test cell and back shop capabilities. Additionally, GATES has a Logistics center located in Vantaa, Aviapolis.
