Our growing team is looking for an experienced, cooperative, outgoing, and solution-oriented IP Manager with a track record in ensuring IP generation and freedom-to-operate to support our mission of expanding the frontier of scientific and technological progress.
What will I be doing?
Managing part of IQM patent portfolio and ensuring business use for the asset.
Ensuring IP related cooperation between different stakeholders in the company.
Engaging with IQM engineers to encourage invention generation and assessing their patentability.
Organizing and actively participating in the IQM patent review committee meetings.
Coordinating with IQM engineers and IQM’s external patent attorneys in drafting and prosecuting the patents.
Conducting preliminary prior art searches, patent landscape, and freedom-to-operate studies.
Organizing IP workshops and increasing IP awareness within the organization.
What skills do I need?
Extensive experience (4+ years) in the IP field, preferably both in a patent attorney office and in industry, of which at least 2-3 years of IP management in industry.
Extensive experience of ensuring IP generation and freedom-to-operate in house.
Strong scientific, engineering, or software technologies background.
Strong social skills and intercultural awareness.
Fluent English communication skills, both written and oral.
Ability to work in a dynamic cross-border team.
Ability to work in a solution- and business-oriented manner.
Ability to work independently.
Meticulous attention to details
Preferred qualifications:
Knowledge/experience of quantum computing/physics and/or electrical engineering and software technologies.
Previous knowledge of Standard Essential Patents (SEPs) and/or Open Source Software (OSS) licenses.
Previous experience in Designs and Trademarks.
Experience in employee invention law practices.
Experience in reviewing and interpreting IP-related contracts.
Experience in licensing agreements.
