The Neckar-Alb regional light rail system is creating a completely new pillar of local transport in the economically strong Neckar-Alb region with its regional center of Reutlingen-Tübingen. With an investment of around two billion euros, around 200 km of new or expanded lines will be built. The first sections are currently under construction and our modern dual-system vehicles are in production.


The districts of Reutlingen, Tübingen and Zollernalbkreis, the cities of Reutlingen and Tübingen and the Neckar-Alb Regional Association have founded the Neckar-Alb Regional Light Rail Association based in Mössingen to implement the project.

We are looking for the earliest possible date for a

IT architect (m/f/d)

What you can expect:

• As an IT architect (m/f/d), you will be responsible for managing and implementing internal IT projects for the special-purpose association and its subsidiaries
• You will set clear goals and ensure that IT projects are completed on time and in accordance with our quality standards
• In collaboration with our IT service providers, you will manage and continuously develop the information and communication systems of the special-purpose association and its subsidiaries
• You document and inventory our IT infrastructure (structure, system and network configuration, licenses, passwords, etc.)
• You provide first and second level support in our IT environment
• You coordinate the setup and support of our IT workstations with our IT service provider and are responsible for issuing software and hardware
• You provide advice and support for IT-related procurements

What you bring with you:

• You have a degree in business informatics or administrative informatics or a comparable qualification or have professional experience in a comparable position. Alternatively, you have completed IT training and have many years of relevant professional experience
• You have know-how in the areas of data backup and network administration
• Ideally, you have experience in managing agile and classic projects in a rapidly changing technological environment
• You are confident and service-oriented when dealing with our IT users
• Ideally, you have already accompanied one or more tendering processes in public administration
