Job Description - IT Manager, Eastern Europe and Mediterranean (IT Service Delivery Manager)

We are seeking an experienced IT Manager to join our team at KONE Eastern Europe and Mediterranean frontline - consists of 16 countries spanning Central and Eastern Europe, as well as the Mediterranean region. This includes Poland, Czechia, the Balkans (Croatia, Bulgaria, Romania), Greece, Cyprus, and Israel. As a trusted partner, you will collaborate closely with local businesses and global IT to ensure the adoption of global standards, policies, and processes. Your role will be vital in maintaining high user satisfaction level.

Responsibilities:

The IT Manager will be accountable for the following responsibilities:

  • Work together with employees responsible for Local IT Solutions and their roadmaps to ensure that Local IT Solutions are implemented and managed according to the Local IT Policy.
  • Act as a KONE IT representative towards local business or functions and help to find right contacts from KONE IT on need basis.
  • Advocate and inform local business on global KONE policies, standards, and processes for IT related topics such as Local IT, cybersecurity, or architecture.
  • Act as escalation point for local business towards KONE IT Product Teams by contacting Product Owner/Ops Lead if escalation is needed. IT Manager is not responsible of the vendor management related to global IT products/services.
  • Find contacts or knowledge of local setup for global IT units and/or projects when needed.
  • Help the global deployment projects to find support locally when needed e.g., external resources.
  • Seek opportunities for improvement to service experience related to global IT products and related processes such as incident management, service request management etc. Work with global teams to implement the prioritized improvements.
  • Accountable for all local IT owned assets (local servers, network equipment and workstations) within the scope. Organize and oversee workstation asset management in respective region including hardware orders, maintaining of the assets, and consult in their financial management, forecasting, budget etc.
  • Own the local implementation for site moves/openings/closure to ensure business continuity and act as contact point between Connectivity Team and local business. Facilitation responsibilities vary depending on the size and criticality of the site.
  • Own and manage communication towards end users in the respective countries, excluding translations of communication material, user guidelines or similar
  • Collaborate with local business leadership to understand and influence local needs towards IT products and/or needs for for Local IT business solutions. When required, act as an interface point for Local IT solutions towards global teams with regards to integration and implementation needs.
  • Coordinate and optimize global onsite support presence in frontline.
  • Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • ITIL certification (minimum Foundation).
  • Supplier/Vendor/Partner management experience.
  • Fundamental IT infrastructure and cybersecurity knowledge.
  • Financial management experience.
  • Ability to work with two languages (English + local language of the EEM region).
  • Have a passion for process development and improvement
