We are looking for a Junior Java Developer to work on a product that tracks the investment life cycle and optimizes costs in the field of telecommunication.

Your tasks will be:

• Participate in development projects and provide solutions based on specifications.
• Solve complex problems in collaboration with colleagues in Budapest and remote teams.
• Consultancy and expertise on the solution provided to other technical groups.
• Research fundamental problems and implement algorithms / solutions.
• Take responsibility for testing tasks as well.
• Collaborate with a cross functional development team following the Scrum methodology.
• Drive continuous improvements of products and processes

Basic qualifications

• B Sc./M.Sc. in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a similar field
• 0-2 years of experience in Java development and familiarity with Java frameworks such as Spring and Spring Boot
• Understanding of the basics and operation of relational database management systems (MySQL)
• Flexibility and willingness to learn new technologies
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficiency Linux/Unix skills
• Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Hungarian

Preferred additional skills, personal traits and experience

• Familiarity with Angular
• Understanding of JIRA or a similar ticketing system
• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
