We are looking for a Lead Data & AI Platform Developer to join our team in Metso Minerals Digital Data & AI team working for our Minerals business segment Digital serving our Minerals, Services and Consumables Business Areas. In this role, you will report to Director, Analytics. 

Your location would be Tampere or Espoo in Finland. Also other Global Metso key locations can be considered.

As a Lead Data & AI Platform Developer, you will:

• Actively participating in designing and planning of data and AI platforms in collaboration with the team to implement the business use cases. Take the responsibility of managing databases and leading the development of data pipelines, data processing (ELT/ETL) and data modeling. You also take responsibility for how we do both inbound and outbound integrations from our data platform.
• You manage the planning and workloads of Data Architecture & Engineering related work in our different projects.
• You collaborate with our different stakeholders from our own team, from our IT peers as well as our external partners that we are leveraging all the existing data & data-technology assets as well as knowledge in the best way possible to solve our business problems. 
• You work across our dataset use-cases of IoT Equipment, Minerals Processing Processes and Enterprise data (Field Service, Sales, Installed Base) in designing data storage, processing and usage architecture to ensure an efficient set-up. You actively monitor and continuously improve the data quality.

Skills we hope you have

• Skills and experience in analytics in an industrial domain. This includes working with IoT data but also with internal processes data (f.ex. Sales, Sourcing, Supply Chain)
• Capable in managing databases, ETL processes as well as having a touch with MLOps. We work with leading technologies (Snowflake, dbt, etc) so you’ll have the best toolkit in the marketplace as we continue developing it continuously.
• We work with cloud (Azure), so you preferably have experience with some cloud-based environments (AWS, GCP).
• You have an understanding of timeseries data and have worked with TSDBs as well as with relational databases. You understand what analytics with time series data demands.
• You have an understanding of DevOps / MLOps – so basically how to do CI/CD for databases including analytics.
• You are capable of database programming. This includes SQL as a basis, but also potentially other technologies as well.
