As part of our continuous efforts to enhance our risk management capabilities, we are looking for a seasoned Lead Risk Expert to join our BCBS 239 Independent Validation Function.

As a Lead Risk Expert within the BCBS 239 Independent Validation Function, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our risk data aggregation and risk reporting practices meet the stringent requirements of BCBS 239. You will take a leading role in the independent validation efforts, assessing the effectiveness of our risk data aggregation processes, and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of risk reporting. What you’ll be doing:

• Take a leading role in managing the independent validation of BCBS 239 compliance across the bank
• Evaluate the effectiveness of risk data aggregation and reporting processes
• Assess adherence to regulatory requirements and internal policies
• Develop and implement validation methodologies and frameworks
• Conduct a range of testing reviews, including quantitative and qualitative assessments of BCBS239 adherence
• Prepare comprehensive validation reports and present findings to senior management and relevant internal fora
• Collaborate with various departments, including Risk Management, IT and the business, to further develop the bank’s data governance and reporting practices
• Stay updated with regulatory changes and industry best practices related to BCBS 239

Your experience and background:

• Proven experience in independent validation work within a large European or international bank(s)
• In-depth understanding of BCBS 239 principles and requirements
• Strong background in risk management, data governance, and regulatory compliance
• Relevant academic qualifications, such as a degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field
