Mechanical Construction Manager x 4 – Data Centre Construction

Location: Helsinki, Finland
Salary: €80,000–€90,000
Package: Accommodation, rotation, travel and €1,100 net monthly living allowance
Employment: Full-time, site-based

The Opportunity

We are seeking four experienced Mechanical Construction Managers to join major data centre construction projects in Helsinki, Finland.

These are excellent opportunities to take responsibility for mechanical construction delivery, managing HVAC and pipework installation, coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are completed safely, to the required quality standards and in line with the project programme.

You will work closely with the wider project team, overseeing site activities from procurement and planning through to installation and handover.

Key Responsibilities

* Manage client communications and maintain strong working relationships.

* Prepare method statements and risk assessments for mechanical construction activities.

* Ensure all HVAC deliverables meet project specifications, programme requirements and safety standards.

* Coordinate with the project team to sequence pipework and mechanical installations in line with scheduled dates.

* Manage the commercial aspects of the project, including procurement of equipment, specialist subcontractors and suppliers.

* Assist with documenting and costing changes to the scope of works.

* Support the preparation of monthly valuations and final accounts.

* Manage project schedules and two-week look-ahead programmes in conjunction with the project team.

* Ensure labour and resource requirements are maintained in line with the construction programme.

* Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure installation works are progressing as planned.

* Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety requirements and site procedures.

* Review working practices and implement improvements to maintain a safe working environment.

* Maintain high standards of site housekeeping across all subcontractors.

* Support the successful completion, testing and handover of mechanical works.

Requirements

* Relevant mechanical qualification, such as:

* BEng degree

* City & Guilds

* HNC/BTEC

* NVQ

* Previous experience in a Mechanical Construction Manager or similar role.

* Background within a Mechanical and Electrical contracting environment.

* Strong understanding of HVAC, mechanical services and pipework installation.

* Experience managing subcontractors, site teams and construction programmes.

* Good organisational, communication and time-management skills.

* Data centre or mission-critical construction experience would be advantageous.
