Our client is a specialised Data Centre Construction company offering full-service, turnkey solutions across Europe, with headquarters in Dublin. With a strong engineering focus, we have built a reputation as one of the most reliable and accomplished companies in the industry.

They are  excited to add an experienced Mechanical Lead to their team for an on-site role based in Helsinki, Finland. This position is vital in overseeing mechanical project operations, optimizing design, and ensuring project excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and mentor a team of Mechanical Engineers to deliver outstanding project results.
• Recommend design adjustments to boost cost-effectiveness, streamline construction timelines, and enhance final specifications and quality.
• Apply commercial understanding to support project budgeting and financial goals.
• Oversee construction quality, ensuring workmanship and materials meet the highest standards.
• Collaborate with contract managers, site engineers, and other project leaders to ensure accurate and timely communication among all site personnel and subcontractors.
• Review and understand project drawings and specifications, promptly addressing any issues with the design team.
• Determine resource needs, inspiring the project team to achieve their best work.
• Maintain and enforce high standards for health and safety on-site.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of procurement processes.
• Experience in scheduling, programming, and sequencing construction projects.
• Proven experience in leading MEP teams effectively.
• Track record in managing MEP projects within data centres.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
